Please note - If you are viewing the website using a laptop computer, (apart from the Apple laptop), the colors
portrayed are very poor. I have found this to be the norm after checking numerous lap tops. The older desktop
screens still seem to give the most accurate colors, so, when ordering, please read the descriptions of the stones.
It will help you somewhat with the colors and your decisions regarding purchase.

Tourmaline has seen a dramatic increase in price during 2011, and, especially during the latter part of the year. Unfortunately, it looks like this trend will continue during 2012, and, appears to be due to three main factors - the strong demand for the stone in China, the violence and unrest in Nigeria,
(0ne of the main suppliers of Tourmaline), and, lastly, the low production of Tourmaline today.
. You will see quite a discrepancy in prices in the list below - this reflects the different prices we paid for parcels during the year.
As always, a great selection of the smaller Tourmalines, all in the 10ct to 15ct size. Some of these stones have been tumbled-polished to ensure clarity and most have been pre-shaped to some extent. Why do we pre-shape the Tourmalines? Well, two reasons, some Tourmalines are heat sensitive so we like to know that the stones you buy from us are not likely to shatter when you preform them, and, secondly, when we purchase the rough, they are invariably poor shapes. We lose anything from 15% to 30% in weight when we pre-shape the stones but then we know that what we are offering you cannot be beaten.
Please note - Most of the stones on this list have been pre-shaped to some extent and all extraneous material has been removed. This will allow you an excellent return percentage-wise on the rough stone
