TAKE NOTE - A new, rich, translucent "Jade" green Opaline has just been found in Tanzania. This is the first time it is on offer and we will be having more of this outstanding material later in the year. Don't lose out on this one!!
The Brazilian Opals are all exceptionally clean and in mixed colors from bright yellows, oranges, and reds. No 'play of color' has been observed. This particular mine was discovered in 1924 by a German stone dealer and was originally sold as "Mexican Fire Opal" as nobody knew about the Brazilian deposit. The material we have on offer has been in a warehouse for many, many years in a dry state so there is virtually no chance that it will 'crack'. It has NOT been stored in water as so much Opal is. Material stored in water will often crack when cutting. This material has been very carefully selected, and it will produce very bright clear stones to stones having just a very little "haze".Stones with some slight haze are more likely to be found in the rich red colors whilst the bright yellows are exceptionally clear
